"Money is a tool to achieve our goals."
As the youngest of eight children, I learned frugality from an early age. Beginning at age 14, I spent my summers working in my dad’s construction business and continued into college. Watching his tireless example taught me that nothing happens without putting in the work, a lesson I carry with me to this day.
As I started earning my own money through construction and college jobs, I relied on frugality to meet my needs and save for the future. After graduating and beginning my first career as a high school math teacher, I experienced the satisfaction of financial stability and discovered that some things are worth spending on. Over time, I’ve learned that money is more than something to save; it’s a tool to create freedom and enrich life. Today, I help clients apply that same balance: building for the future while aligning their spending with what matters most to them.
One thing I’m doing to make the world better: Taking an approach of discovery and understanding toward the people around me. Perspective-taking is so important and I always ask myself why people might think the way they do, even if it’s different from my opinion and perspective.
One thing I’m doing to help the planet: Looking for reusable and sustainable swaps for everyday items.
Outside of work, my passions include: Learning continually, getting sucked into a good story, and strengthening my relationships with family and friends
One goal I’m saving for: Buying a home.
The best thing I’ve done to advance my career knowledge: Complete my master’s degree.
